Summer is here. So it’s time for a bit of a blog-break. Over the next couple months, we will be focusing on preparing for the up coming fall speaking opportunties, and coordinating the parent support group meetings. In addition, we will be revamping our Parent Coaching practice to accommodate the growing demand for help from families requesting one-on-one help.
Over the past few days I’ve spent some time in my garden, thinking of how it mirrors the role as a parent; planting those seeds, and providing the right combination of care and attention. Our whole family has tended to the development of our son with autism, and that devotion has helped produce a wonderful harvest of growth….. for everyone in the family.
Our son is headed to a job interview as I write this blog. He has communication challenges, so these interviews can be really challenging. But before he left, I spent some time encouraging him and providing a little coaching. That bit of ‘tilling’ and propping-up is just what he needed…what we all need.
Be sure to keep on ‘tending the garden’. And you can always communicate with me by clicking on “contact us” and leaving a message. I’ll get back with you!
Enjoy the summer.
